by star trek makeup standards, they qualify as a different species from mankind. of course, by those standards, a moderately-sized pimple renders one an an alien emissary.
This is actually a photo of Hawkman and Hawkgirl and their daughter "Hawky." She's a loveable little scamp who gets into ma and pa's weapon room and slays a bad guy or two when the mood strikes her. She's the pride of Thanagar.
"weapon room" is an awesome phrase, mal. it simultaneously evokes the personal space of a halberd-wielder and the primary set of a post-apocalyptic cosby show.
